Sensor Infrared Obstacle Avoidance

Description

The module consists of an infrared transmitter (clear LED) and an infrared receiver (black photodiode). The transmitter emits IR light at a specific frequency; when an object enters the detection field, the IR light reflects off the surface and is captured by the receiver.

An onboard LM393 voltage comparator chip processes this signal. When the reflected light intensity exceeds a certain threshold (set by the onboard potentiometer), the module’s output pin transitions to a LOW state, and a secondary indicator LED lights up to signal that an obstacle has been detected.
